International Affairs and Diplomatic Policies

In the period of globalisation, it is every global villager's responsibility to be familiar with the international affairs, including economy, culture, politics, climate, environment and so on. In this blog, I will display some of my opinions. I hope that you enjoy it.

Ridiculous

It is said that some aggressive churches in Florida are going to burn the Koran, the scripture of Islam on September 11th, 2010 in memory of the dead in 911 nine years ago. Of course, we have to commemorate those who died in that tragic catastrophe, bacause they were innocent. I also believe that they will gain the greatest blessings from the Lord in the Heaven. Nevertheless, if those aggressive churches insist on burning the Koran, they are not qualified to be the citizens of the United States of America, a country whhich values the diversity.

Nine years ago, some aggressive Muslims set up a tragic catastrophe in New York in order to protest the Bush Administration's policies toward Islamic world. Such action was condemned by almost every country. The Security Council authorised Washington to attack Afghanistan with an eye to overthrowing the regime. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization also agreed to assist the U.S.A. But anyway, we still have to emphasize that most of Muslims are PEACEFUL. They don't attack others without reasons. After all, a pious Muslim follows every word in the Koran.

Those who set up such a tragedy were just a little part of the group. For example, we don't deny the academic achievement of the Yale University although it educated a stupid president, and this president tormented us for eight years (from 2000 to 2008). We cannot deny the whole Muslims just because one of them committed such an unforgiveable mistake. The Muslims that committed such a crime obviously did not understand this. Nevertheless, if the aggressive churches insist on burning the Koran, they are just like those crimes. Please, do not make the same mistake that has been made nine years ago. Let's be smart, be intelligent, but not be stupid together.

After all, what the modern society values is ration, not emotion.

Shanghai was occupied by Portugal

This is the greatest joke that I have ever heard in my life.

Today, a student asked me the relationsip between those colonies and their motherlands,

and the following is the conversation:

I: Hong Kong?
He: Has ever Hong Kong been colonised?

I: Macau?
He: Where is Macau?

I: Taiwan?
He: A part of People's Republic of China, right?
(Indeed, I can't say that he's wrong, but anyway, Taiwan has never been ruled by PRC.)

I: Vietnam?
He: Hanoi.
(Com'on, I am asking you the "motherland", rather than the capital.)

I: Okay, then, give me an example that you know.
He: Shanghai was colonized by Portugal.

Gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KILL ME IMMEDIATELY.

If Shanghai had ever been occupied by Portugal, Japan would have been the winner of WWII.

Why don't you tell me that the capital of Japan locates in Beijing or Washington is the Father of the Russian Federation?

Anyone helps me?

Racial Discrimination

I have to say that democracy, freedom, equality, and human rights are what I value the most. As far as I am concerned, anyone that violates those values are not qualified to be human beings, such as Hu, Jintao in China and Ruhollah Khomeini in Iran. Besides, those who discriminate other races are also supposed to be condemned. I am an Asian, so I can understand the "potential" discrimination among races. I do not mean that every white (or other races) is racism. I mean, those discriminating other races do not understand the foundation spirit of the United States.
Humans are EQUAL.
I feel a little bit strange now. Am I also discriminating those who discriminate other races?

Mourn

The President of Republic of Poland died in an airplane crash on tenth, April, 2010, when he headed for Russian Federation for the moruning ceremony of Katyn Massacare, which occurred in 1940 in Union of Soviet Socialism Republics.
When I got this news yeaterday, I was very shocked. Such an accident is really unbelievable. A sovereign died in such an unusal way. I think this accident may cause the relationship between Republic of Poland and Russian Federation become complicated, but not deteroirated.
It is true that the relationship between the two countries was very bad before. However, it has been improved in recent years. The journey to Russia of President Lech Kaczynski this time is to attend a mourning ceremony. The ceremony is to mourn those victims that were killed in the Katyn Massacare. However, who would think that President Lech Kaczynski would die on the way to attend this ceremony? The one who is going to mourn becomes the one who is mourned.
President Kaczynski is a controversial politician in the international society. Although Poland is the member State of European Union, an international organisation that opposes death penalty, President Kaczynski announced his position of supporting death penalty clearly. Besides, during his term of the mayor of Warsaw, he prohibitted the parade of homosexuality. However, on the other hand, the approaches that he adopted to improve the domestic economy worked. During the depression of the world economy in recent years, the economy in Poland grew and grew. His contributions to the domestic economy are impressive. Additionally, his tough position toward Russia concerning the Katyn Massacare also helped him to gain people's support and political reputation.
The political aftermath of this accident may make the economy reform interuptted. President Kaczynnski was the follower of Lech Walesa when the Polish Communism Party collapsed. However, President Kaczynski became the one who opposed him because of the economic policies. Walesa adopted aggressive policies to improve the economy, but in vain.
In conclusion, President Kaczynski is, and will be, the president that is, and will be, remembered by all of the Polish people. His contributions toward economy, diplomacy, and history of Poland are impressive and indelible. May He rest in peace.
The following names are those who died in this sorrowful accident:

F**k, S**t, B***h

I broke up with my girlfriend today. The reason is quite simple. She went out with her ex-boyfriend without telling me. In fact, I do not care who she went out with. However, it was her ex-boyfriend, whose identity is so sensitive. As her boyfriend RIGHT NOW, I think that I have the right, no, it should be power, to know that she was with her EX-boyfriend.
I was not aware that she went out with her ex-boyfriend until my friend who happened to be on the scene told me. When asked, she even lied that she went nowhere. F**k. I have known where you've been. How long do you intend to lie to me?
When I told her that I have known the truth angrily, she replied that she did not have to tell me everything with anger. She even said that she doesn't have to tell me whom she went out with just like she does not have toi tell me that she is going to toilet. What is the fuc***g logic?
Anyway, I have been determined to break up with that bitch. This is betrayal.

I was robbed in Taipei, Taiwan

Last week, when I left the Taipei International Conference Centre, leaving for the MRT station. In order to save time, I took the shortcut, and a shortcut means a small lane without enough light. A man rushed out with a knife, putting the knife at my throat, threatening me to turn in money to him. I was terrified, so I did what he had asked.
Nevertheless, something made me laugh happened. Because of the darkness, the robber could not see things well. When he took my wallet, what he took away was 300 NT dollars, as for the Renminbi and the U.S. dollars, the robber left them to me. Besides, the amount the the Renminbi and U.S. dollars worthed around 3,700 NT dollars. I was really surprised by that.
When I told this story to my friends, their emotion transferred from being terrified to laughing. I think that this experience is really the most funny that I have during the conference in Taipei.

The Great Scenes of Taiwan

The Model United Nations held in Taiwan is going to end. I am really happy to befriend so many people from all over the world. After the conference, I went to Chiang, Kai Shek Memorial Hall, hot springs in Bei'tou, Xi'men'ding, Shi'lin Night Market, and so many beautiful places in Taiwan with a friend from People's Republic of China. I am really impressed of them.

This is my first time to participate in the World Model United Nations, and I think that this is really a meaningful activity. I strongly recommend everyone that has never participated in this should participate in this next year. I am not very sure the accurate country where the World MUN will take place next year. However, I will, for sure, go there next year.

Likewise, I will ask the university to pay for us. Haha.

Model United Nations in Taipei, Taiwan

It is really a wonderful memory to have so many friends around the world. I represent Nigeria in the Committee of International Monetary Fund. In fact, this is really a nightmare to me. Anyone that knows me understand that I am an idiot of mathematics. If anyone dares to ask me to calculate or to do anything regarding economy, it means the one is ready to commit suicide.
I think that I will participate in the World Midel United Nations next year, too. But, trust me, I won't be willing to get involved in the IMF again. I mean, it is wonderful, but it's not what I am familiar with.
I always teel my friends that I can talk about almost every issue or topic in the United Nations; nevertheless, economy is absolutely a taboo. :(
Hoping that I can become a delegate in Disarmament and International Security Committee; Social, Cultural, and Humanitarian Committee; Special, Political, and Decolonization Committee or Historical General Assembly next year. They are the topics what I am familiar with.
May God bless me.

Jesus, what's going on?

According to CNN.com, a slaughter occurred in Nigeria on March 8th. I did not know what on earth happened there, in fact. However, after reading the news, I found that the situation cannot be explained with the reason of religions difference alone.
The history of Africa is a tragedy itself. In 1888, the delegates of Berlin Conference were determined to scramble for Africa. Most places of Western Africa belonged to France with some exceptions; for example, Nigeria belonged to United Kingdom. After World War II, a lot of colonies were independent. However, political independence does not guarantee prosperity and freedom. On the other hand, due to the selfishness of the Berlin Conference, the border of African countries are a big mess. The borders of African countries were not decided by rivers or mountains or races, but by rulers and pens. Delegates of Berlin Conference took pens and rulers to decide Part A belongs to France, Part B belongs to U.K., Part C belongs to Belgium, Part D belongs to Germany, or something like that. Without a long-term consideration and plan, African people meant nothing but "commercial" to the Europe of the end of 19th century.
With such a tragic history, the racial conflicts in Africa are extremely serious and complicated. Because a racial group may be divided into two different countries, while two different racial groups with animosity may be in one country. Nigeria is a good example.
The conflicts between Muslims and Christians have been many years. If we interpret this slaughter with the perspective of history, we can find that Islam is the traditional religion in Africa, while Christianity is an evidence of the colonial history. Therefore, some aggressive Muslims may think that believeing in Christianity is a deed of betrayal, betraying the traditions, and betraying Allah.
The two religions, in fact, have a lot in common. They all emphasise on peace and kindness. Futhermore, Islam can be considered to be a branch of Christanity. Perhaps it is difficult to ask the two religions to be peaceful from now on; nevertheless, curing the injuries caused by history is the responsibility of modern people, which is testing human beings' intelligence.
At the end, I still have to say I STRONGLY CONDEMN those who accomplish their missions, no matter what the fucking missions are, with violence. Allah or Jesus can never accept those who slaughtered.

Thank you very much

Via MSN, you have totally told me what had happened, and I really appreciate that. Yes, I know, the thing you mentioned was really a stupid mistake that I made, and I also can understand why you are that angry. Like what I wrote in the piror article, no matter what the reason is, I accept. No matter what your decision is, I respect.
Here, I am about to tell you that I would like to show my gratitude toward you. Thank you very much for telling me what happened, which let know how I died. Thank you very much for giving me the wonderful memory in the past two years. It was you that accompined me when my confidence was destroyed by Alex D.H. Lin. It was you that accompined me to get through the pain. Although it might be impossible for us to become as good as what we were in the past, I still have to say, you are the best friend that I have ever met. It is really my great honour to have the opportunity to befriend you.
Of course, I am expecting to have the friendship. However, this should depend on you. If you say yes, the door is always opened for you. Nevertheless, if you reject, I will not object, because I know that it was my fault, and you totally have the right to refuse to forgive me.
In the future of my life, it is a great pity of your abscence. However, I can do nothing but accept. I will regret it with my rest life.
May God bless you, and your family.
Sincerely,
Edward

What I want is nothing but an explanation.

It has been months that you do not answer my phone, MSN, and short message. I do not know what on earth happened. Before the winter vacation, we were still very good, but now, I don't think you can recognise me if we meet on the street.

It is okay if you don't want to befriend me anymore. However, please give me a reason. No matter what the reason is, I accept, but, please let me know. Maybe you don't understand how I feel right now, but I have to tell you that I feel very sad and hurt. I feel I am dead without a reason.

The last time we contacted was yesterday, with my home's phone. When I asked you why you didn't answer my phone, you just said: "I don't wanna pick it up." Then, you hung up. You didn't give me a chance to explain, you didn't give me a chance to understand. We were very good, but I have no idea what is the obstacle between us. If you read this article, I beg you to contact with me, though I know this can hardly occur.

I need an explanation. Just let me know. No matter what the reason is, I accept. Even if the words will kill me, they can, at least, let me rest in peace. I don't want to be a ghost that does not know how it died. This is the last request that I ask. Please, accomplish it, if you recognise that we were friends.

Please Stand up for the National Anthem of United States of America

Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, now conceals, now discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner forever shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

World Model United Nations

The World Model United Nations will be held in Taipei, Taiwan from 14th, March, 2010 to 18th, March. I am very excited to see every delegate from all over the world in Taipei. I think that this is a good opportunity for college students to expand their international perspective and to enhance the ability of cross culture communication.
I represent Nigeria in the Committee of International Monetary Fund (IMF). When I got this news, it almost drove me to crazy. Everyone knowing me understands that I am an idiot of mathematics. I can not believe that I have to discuss such a topic that I am not familiar with. When I read the study guide, I could hardly understand what it talks about. Of course I can understand every word accurately, while I can never figure out the main point and the thesis statement.
If I could choose again, I would like to choose DISEC (Disarmament and International Security Committee) or the SEPCPOL (Special, Political, and Decolonization Committee). Because the topics that the two committees deal with are what I am more familiar with. Anyway, now that the God has pointed a way for me, I can do nothing but accept.
It's my time to start studying economy.

Two Earthquakes, Two Outcomes

An earthquake of 7.3 magnitude struck Haiti, which is one of the official diplomatic relation with Republic of China (Taiwan), in Januaury.
The earthquake was 7.3 magnitude, whose strength is far away from 8.8 magnitude which occurred in Chile this month. Nevertheless, the casualties were 4000 times more than that in Chile. According to the reliable statistics, the casualties in Haiti were 200,000, while approximately 500 in Chile. What is the main reason that caused the wide gap?
I do not think it was because of Hatians's exchange with the demons.
Chile is a country whose prosperity depends on the exportation of copper. The more copper Chile exports, the more money people can earn, and the exportation has been stable for many years. Accordingly, Chile becomes one of the richest country in Latin America.
Please remember a rule: Politics is always related to economic develpoment. If corruptions happen usually in a country, the country's economy must be very weak.
Haiti is an obvious example. The problems in Haiti are very serious. This causes the inadequate infrastractures. Therefore, once earthquakes strike the country, Haitians are not able to resist.
However, on the other hand, thanks to the stable exportation of copper, the Chileien economy grows stably. Additionally, politics in Chile is also better than that in Haiti; the infrastractures are also enough for people, despite the fact that most of them have been destroyed in the catastropic disaster.
I believe that Chile can recover from the pain soon with the assistence of their healthy economy, good goverance, and international society. The Secretary of State Department of the United States of America, Hillary Clinton, has promised to offer all the necessary help to Chile as long as Chile asks.
Let's pray for Chile. May the casualties rest in peace and survivors recover.
Note: Please go to
to see the speech of Hillary Clinton's in the airport of Chile. (The woman beside Clinton is the President of Chile.)

Oh, Jesus, I cannot believe it.

According to the CNN.com, a great sexual scandal occurred in Vatican, Holy See. When I saw this news on TV just now, I thought that I misheard it, because Vatican is the holiest city in the world, as far as I am concerned. Every clergyman working in Vatican should obey the teachings of God, Bible and Pope. It is ridiculous to have a prostitute in Vatican, not to mention the prostitute is "MALE."

Basically, I do not think that homosexuality is a crime or a sin. Nevertheless, I cannot believe such a thing could happen in Vatican. What I think most ridiculous is the one who asked for a male prostitute is the papal usher, whose name is Angelo Balducci from Nigeria. He should have been beside Pope very often. Why the Pope did not discover that he is homosexuality?

Oh, Jesus. This must be the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard.
Besides, if you are interested in getting further information, I suggest you to go to:
